Granular B Type 2 Limestone is a 2” minus material, meaning it contains stone ranging from 2” down to fines. Generally Granular B Type 2 is a base material, used in heavy traffic areas for high stability applications. With excellent compaction this material will resist erosion and makes for a great driveway base, road base, or parking lot base material. To cap the Granular B Type 2 and allow for a smooth finish, Granular A Limestone or 3/4” Crusher Run is placed and compacted on top before potentially laying asphalt.
